Ryszard Kapuściński has died.
The BBC World Service rang up yesterday and said: “Is the death of Kapuściński worth commenting on to an international audience?”DurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrKapuscinski was THE most respected Polish writer. Kropka….
That makes me even sadder. I understand it though, I knew nothing about Kapuściński before I came here. That's a shame. He put such compassion into such simple words. Here's to hoping more people appreciate him now that he's gone.
but folk DID appreciate him. Last year he was tipped for a Nobel Prize...so I don't think his writing is a secret....
